The trailing indicator, Case Shiller Home Price Index showed that in their 20 metro city sample size...
Message: November Year Over Year (YOY) data shows an impressive 4.7% increase in home prices after only a 0.5% increase in October for the 20 metropolitan areas of the Case Shiller index. I said we'd be "data heavy" this week and this is good start. The news is helping Mortgage Backed Securities which is good for rates but with the Fed meeting starting today, a 7 year treasury auction today and plenty more throughout the week... I'd expect we'll see mostly sideways and modest rate improvements. Take what you can get here folks.
